Jon Reyman trains in salons across the nation. He has developed a following of hairdressers committed to his unique cutting and body positioning instruction. He is after body wellness, efficiency, and results.
One of the breaks from traditional hair cutting that Jon Reyman Pro encourages is leaving behind old fashioned techniques and embracing a modern--result focused, and natural approach to hair cutting, styling & maintenance.
INFORMATION: *Train the Trainer Featuring Jon Reyman Seattle, WA This session is a one-day class. 05/12/2014 LOCATION: Gary Manuel Studio 2123-A 1st Ave Seattle, WA 98121 United States TIME: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Please bring the following items with you to class: Scissors, texturizing shears, cutting combs, cutting clips, denman or flat brush, round brush, 1 inch curling iron, blow dryer, flat iron, spray bottle, razor (preferably a feather plier). All these items are available at: http://www.jonreymanpro.com/content/shopify **YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A CUTTING HEAD (PREFERABLY A VIOLA) FOR THE CLASS** If you do not have one please let us know and we will make one available for purchase on the day of the event.
Formerly the Artistic Director of the Aveda Advanced Academy in New York, Jon Reyman has since worked as a master stylist, educator, and business owner, developing curriculum for salons and institutions across the world via Jon Reyman Pro and opening Spoke & Weal in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
As the lead stylist of up to 30 shows every New York Fashion Week (notably Nicholas K, Nautica, Betsey Johnson) Jon is a seasoned hair director and collaborative partner to some of the most relevant and influential designers in the industry. His work has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, GQ, Vanity Fair, WWD, Cosmopolitan, and Ellé. He has appeared on Project Runway, The Apprentice, and Good Morning America.
Using his technical and creative skills to empower people on an individual level is what drives Jon further into his craft. He is known for custom, progressive cutting and styling techniques. He easily abandons old philosophy finding better results through innovationJon instinctively challenges any rules & systems he finds claustrophobic.
Jon deeply values utility and simplicity in his work, he sees meaning and beauty in what's natural and useful.
