The Art Connection-RI's 3rd Anniversary: Celebration of Arts in Rhode Island
The 3rd Anniversary will gather community members, artists, and art collectors together to celebrate The Art Connection-RI. Through sponsorship and tickets the event will raise the necessary funds to continue the mission of connecting artists and art donors with community service organizations through the placement of original artwork.
In 2013, the event gathered over 75 people for the sole purpose of supporting the accessibility of art for nonprofits. This year, we anticipate over 100 community members to attend with Fete's high capacity lounge.
Awards will be given to three deserving awardees:
- The Iona Dobbins Award: Ruth Brandt, artist
- The Art Connection-RI's Art Beneficiary Award: Meeting Street
- The Art Connection-RI's Community Award: Top Drawer at the Brass
TAC-RI is proud to support the missions of many local nonprofits including Meeting Street School, Children's Friend, Progresso Latino, Open Doors, Providence Community Health Center, Dorcas International, Women's Center of Rhode Island, and Ronald McDonald House, with additional applications being processed from other strong nonprofits in Rhode Island. Each organization has been given the chance to select art to promote well-being and enrich the lives of the people they serve.
