Experience surfaces, scenes, sounds - very different from most running events. The second annual Bridge2Bridge gives you a new perspective of the inner city area, foot view versus vehicle view. Feel the thunder of cars and trucks overhead as you travel under I-70. Discover the sway of two different bridges. Mix it up with sidewalks and street surfaces.
A chip timed event for both runners and walkers. Awards given to eight age categories (ranging from age 10 and under to 61 and up) + Top Three Overall - male and female for runners. Both pre-registered runners and walkers receive "the shirt".
Check-In for Pre-registered and on-site registration starts at 9am, with race times of 10am for runners, followed by walkers. 515 S. Kansas (Start/Finish)
The course is USATF/RRTC nationally certified.
Parking is free in the downtown area on weekends, including the City parking garages.
Following the event, head up the Avenue to Trails Market & Gallery for MOTO Exhibition, a day of music by Jed Zeplin, custom motorcycle show, beer garden, food and vendor fun!
The original Bridge2Bridge 5K was created by the 2013 Downtown Class of Leadership Greater Topeka as a benefit for Downtown Topeka, Inc. (DTI). DTI hosts over thirty events in the downtown area each year and depends on fundraising efforts to support many of the free community events. Follow other events at www.downtowntopekainc.com.
