Psychosis
This production takes you on a journey with individuals who have been committed to a psychiatric institution struggling with psychosis.
The show encompasses original monologues, dance choreography, and a video presentation that take the audience members on a journey from institutional commitment, to the internal battle of the psyche, to the strength of obtaining mental clarity and reaching a place of health amidst adversity.
The audience will witness the variability of an individual's mental state evidenced by delusions of grandeur to extreme paranoia such as but not limited to; being a member of a wild tribe, nurses stealing medication from their patients, to being a famous star in a Broadway.
This production is all relayed through dance with supportive monologues that guide audience members through the patients' harrowing story of mental instability to resiliency.
