Hedwig and the Angry Inch
In cooperation with Aggie Central Station, the Manhattan Music Coalition, Able Printing Company, Liberty Press, and The KSU LGBT Resource Center, we are proud to bring Stephen Trask John Cameron Mitchell's rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch to Manhattan, KS April 10th-12th and 17th-19th!
Hedwig and the Angry Inch tells the story of a young East German named Hedwig Schmidt who tries to escape his country and come to America by getting a sex change operation and marrying a G.I named Luther. Sadly, the operation is botched and within a year Luther abandons Hedwig. Hedwig is left stranded and penniless in a trailer park in Junction City, Kansas. Eventually, Hedwig falls in love with Tommy. Tommy soon leaves Hedwig when he becomes a Rock and Roll Superstar. Hedwig then forms her own band: The Angry Inch.
Completely produced and performed by local talent, our Hedwig will be staged in Aggieville's home for live music, Aggie Central Station.
Online ticket sales end two days before the event, but you can buy tickets for all pricing levels at the door, including our full table seating (email jimbo@aggiecentralstation.com to reserve a full table after the two days prior mark)!
