Live on-stage: "the <mutant> FLY"
Teleportation -- Complete. Assimilation & Re-integration -- Complete.
Please join us for an evening of scientific exploration through the eyes of an unheralded genius. For our inaugural show we have adapted Cronenberg's 1986 sci-fi classic, "The Fly." Jack Sharkey takes on the role of Seth Brundle, an introverted scientist whose undying commitment to change the science world is mirrored only by his lack of socialization. Enter Veronica Gaze, a journalist hired to infiltrate the lair of this elusive man. Although polar opposites, the two fall in love despite resultant horrifying results after he sends himself through his coveted untested teleportation device.
We invite you to witness the FX of a man battling inner demons & outward changes as he transforms into a homeotic mutant after his DNA is merged with that of a fly. Presented in our new Ravenswood Studio at 4001 N. Ravenswood Ave. (#603-C) it is both an intricate & cathartic setting as you step into Brundle's laboratory. The show runs on Thursdays - Saturday evenings from June 14th-July 20th with an 8pm start time. Parking is available & we are conveniently located steps from the Brown Line Irving Park stop. Tickets are $20 available at the door, at www.BareKnuckleProductions.org, or here at Brown Paper Tickets.
***Heads-up Warning: Violence, Blood/Gore/Goo, & Nudity does exist in this show***
