The award winning physical comedians of the Picklewater clown cabaret return this July with an original variety arts show in celebration of and to benefit the Family of Juan Cardenas. The show is directed by acclaimed local clown and director Natasha Kaluza and Hosted by Jeff Raz of the Medical Clown Project, and previously Vaudeville Nouveau, The New Pickle Circus and Cirque Du Soliel.
With a cast of clowns, acrobats and musicians from all across the bay area and around the world, this benefit celebrates the man who touched so many of us. Come see the best of local San Francisco circus with an evening of insane physical comedy, music and mayhem filled with circus artists who have been entertaining international audiences for decades, along side a broad spectrum of special guests.
About Juan and Flory Cardenas:
For many years now Juan and Flory Cardenas have been a staple of the San Francisco circus Community. As caretakers at San Francisco Circus Center they touched the many lives of students and teachers they interacted daily and are treasured by our community.
On Memorial day 2013, Juan was brutally struck down by an apparently intoxicated unnamed driver. Juan is listed in critical condition at San Francisco General Hospital. This benefit is being thrown to both celebrate the influence Juan and Flory have on all our lives, and to generate funds to help the family deal with medical and legal expenses.
