Artist Bios:

Lyric Soprano Rebecca Davis is fast becoming known for her brilliant and warm vocal timbre, as well as dynamic vocal versatility and remarkable vocal extension. Her voice has been characterized as "powerful, majestic, captivating, elegant, and thrilling to the bone". Rebecca made her Chicago Symphony Orchestra debut in 2008 singing Salaambo's aria from the movie score of Citizen Kane. In 2006 Rebecca debuted at Carnegie Hall singing with Mid America productions and returned in 2012 to sing with the American Symphony Orchestra in Mahler's 8th symphony.

Rebecca has appeared in the roles of many heroines including Violetta, Fiordiligi, Ilia, Cio Cio San, Mimi, Micaela, Tatyana, the Countess, Donna Elvira, Tosca, Baby Doe, and Magda in La Rondine. Ms. Davis has appeared with such companies as Staatsoper Hannover, Chicago Opera Theater,  Opera San Jose, the Sarasota Opera, the Kentucky Opera, Festival Opera, Livermore Valley Opera, Dayton Opera,  Opera North, Opera Idaho, Fresno Grand Opera, DuPage Opera Theatre, Midsummer Mozart, Hidden Valley Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, and San Francisco Opera's prestigious Merola program.

Rebecca has earned numerous singing awards, including the Grand Prize of the Chicago Bel Canto, Finalist of the Tri-State Region in the Metropolitan Opera Competition, Finalist of the Renata Tebaldi, and the José Iturbi competition, and  the2012 winner of the Irene Dalis competition. Ms. Davis will return to the Staatsoper Hannover in the 2013/2014 season to sing Mimi in La Boheme, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Micaela in Carmen, and Helena in Midsummer Night's Dream, in July she will return to sing with the Midsummer Mozart Festival  and in October will join the Dayton Philharmonic for Mendelssohn's Lobgesang.



Simona Snitkovskaya, piano, is a native of St. Petersburg, where she received the equivalent of her Ph.D. in music at the Conservatory, specializing in chamber music and accompaniment. Before her arrival in California, she worked at the renowned Marinksy Theater as vocal coach and house pianist.  For the past 10 years, she has been affiliated with Opera San José, where is a vocal coach, rehearsal pianist and Russian diction expert.
