Everyman's War, 4th of July Celebration honoring Veterans
Come and attend the St. Helens Premiere of the Award Winning film "Everyman's War". Directed by Oregon Director Thad Smith, this compelling drama tells the true life story of Thad's father, Don Smith an average soldier in the 94th Infantry Division and the grueling portrayal of the harsh canvas of War. Winner of the GI Film Festival and honored in numerous other film festivals, this well crafted film brings home the sacrifices made by the "Greatest Generation".
Held in the new, state of the art Columbia Center at the St. Helens, Oregon Library on July 4th at 3pm, this will be a welcome event leading into our huge 4th of July fireworks display at dusk, (10 pm).
In addition to the film, the director Thad Smith, actors from the film and military will be on had for a Q & A session before the movie, signed posters to all filmgoers and great refreshments and design in the auditorium to re-create the World War II of decades ago. Tickets are only $25 and all monies raised will go the Elks Lodge Veterans Relief fund. If you cannot attend, please consider buying a ticket for a deserving veteran to be able to attend. Great entertainment and a great cause, helping our veterans! Only 90 tickets are available for this once in a lifetime event!
