What is Salsation?
SALSATION: The word "Salsation" has been taken from (Salsa & Sensation).
SALSA: NOT from the rhythm but from the Spanish word (SALSA) that actually means "sauce", because its a mix of different rhythm, cultures and dance/fitness programs!
SENSATION: the program has a strong focus on the feeling of the music, the experience of the class, the feeling of each dance!
Salsation has been inspired in different cultures, dances and also fitness programs, such as Latin Aerobics, Aerolatin, ZUMBA, Bailoterapia and many others, but the choreographies in Salsation has a very strong focus on musicality and the interaction between the teacher and the student!
Salsation Workshop:
Basically the Salsation workshops will help the Dancer & Non-dancer, the instructors and the students.
-Improve understanding on music.
-Variations on basic steps.
-Alejandro starts you off with a body isolation warm-up (great tool to improve movements, musicality)
-break down on choreographies (he starts with easy choreography, then he progresses you to advanced choreo)
These are tools that will definitely improve your skills to be able to do your own choreography. Teach you to be a better instructor by being able to break down the routine to your students, layer your choreo. If you're a student, it will help in your basic knowledge of how to learn the routines quicker and more efficiently.
