It's Lit Up Writers LA!

First Sunday of every month at the Lyric Hyperion Theater and Cafe, featuring published and unpublished writers and performers reading from their works.  

June theme: A Potluck of Stories

That's right, a potluck of stories. Come enjoy an evening of stories written by authors in all walks of life. This months invited readers are a variety of accomplished authors in the literary and performing arts.

Mercedes Segesvary: Award winning playwright as well as your hostess for the evening.

Kathy Deitch: Most recently played Catherine/Senator Martin in the LA cast of Silence! The Musical & made her LA acting debut at the Hollywood Bowl in RENT directed by Neil Patrick Harris will be gracing the Lit Up LA stage.

Jared Reise: From the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Jared Reise, an actor on semi-permanent sabbatical, has turned into an aspiring writer for television and now he's reading for Lit Up LA.

Katya Friedman: She is a writer, actress and comedian, and has numerous TV, film and theatre credits.  Katya is a volunteer at local animal shelters, and now a contributor to Lit Up LA.

Matty Goldberg: This guy's just awesome. Seriously. A returning Lit Up LA favorite.

Carolyn Martone: Founder of Lit Up LA and creator of the sitcom "Upstate," you've seen her at Mortified and you'll see her again at this month's Lit Up LA.

Featuring:

Michael Patrick Dugan: An award-winning author, comedian, cartoonist, and storyteller. He is currently the Executive Director of the LA Storytelling Festival, and Vice President of The Comedy Collective, which is a non-profit organization that assists various charities with humor-oriented fundraising drives.
