SCOTT DAMGAARD - CD RELEASE PARTY - "THROUGH a STAINED GLASS EYE"
Musician, singer, songwriter Scott Damgaard releases his fourth studio album entitled "THROUGH a STAINED GLASS EYE" on June 7th with a live performance of the album in it's entirety at The Wild Rover Tavern (located at 63 Chatham Street, Boston, near Faneuil Hall) at 9PM (Doors at 8PM).

Scott's long time band mates, bassist, keyboardist and guitarist Dave Lieb, guitarist Bilgehan Tuncer and drummer Frank DeFreitas recorded all the tracks on this album, and they will all be joining him on stage for this high-octane show.

Comedy Central Comedian, James Scott Patterson, will kick off the night with some hilarious standup comedy and will stay on as the MC for the evening.

Highlights from Damgaard's new CD include "SHE'S LETTING GO," an infectious Beatlesque pop song that is the first single off of the album, "CIRCUS IS IN TOWN" with its rollicking piano and "WATERFALL," a gentle, peaceful song about getting away from it all.

"PRINCE 4 A DAY," is a bass and drums-driven track which explores what it would be like to walk in the shoes of the musician Prince. It's about as funky as it gets. And the bluesy "GOIN' TO ALABAMA" feels just like an encore where the band leaves it all on the stage.

Originally from Milwaukee Wisconsin, Scott's influences are The Beatles (John Lennon), The Grateful Dead (Jerry Garcia), and William Topley, to name a few.

Not unlike the early careers of Tracy Chapman, Martin Sexton and Mary Lou Lord, Damgaard started his career playing in the Harvard Square and Boston subway system and for the last twenty years has been hard at work playing bars and clubs in and around the Boston and New England area.

Steve Morse, former Senior Rock Critic for The Boston Globe, has described Scott as "one of the most underrated musicians in Boston." His music is contagious. I dare you not to have a good time.

"THROUGH a STAINED GLASS EYE" was produced and recorded by Bill "Dr. Rock" Ryan at RMI Studio in Sturbridge, MA. Bill also happens to be the live sound and recording engineer for the band Boston, so you can be sure this album rocks!

Bill's masterful touches can be heard throughout the album, from the use of his custom-made award-winning microphones, to his keen ear mixing and mastering, to intergalactic sounds and an album ender with a nod to 33 1/3 vinyl records.

The CD package comes with a wonderfully stylish 12-page booklet of images by photographer and designer, Laura Lakeway, a former photo editor at National Geographic Magazine.

This past November Scott not only opened for British rocker William Topley, but he and his band also filled in as Topley's backing band. Scott, Dave, Frank and Bilgehan were thrilled to be performing with one of their musical heroes. Topley was so impressed with their performance he's been speaking with Scott about the possibility of additional US Tour Dates.

Please come on out and join Scott and his band for this epic live performance. His new CD will be available for the special purchase price of $10.00. We look forward to seeing you all there!
