Liberty Ship Experience: 4th of July Fireworks on the SS Jeremiah O'Brien
The SS Jeremiah O'Brien is a World War II Liberty Ship named for an American Revolutionary war captain. One of only two fully-functioning vessels of its kind, the O'Brien played a key role in the armada that stormed Normandy on D-Day. Moored in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf at Pier 45, this premier San Francisco attraction floats as a living museum, and hosts unique private events and Bay cruises. "Liberty Ship Experience" 4th of July guests will witness San Francisco's spectacular 4th of July fireworks display from the decks of this National Historic Landmark, while enjoying light refreshments, music synchronized to the fireworks show, and full museum access. Proceeds from this family-friendly event benefit the National Liberty Ship Memorial, Inc. a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving and maintaining this national treasure for future generations.
