If Birds Could Fly
What do you get when you mix two creative young married people with an environment where music and tradition is seeped into the culture? You get If Birds Could Fly, fronted by Andrew Carter and Brittany Ashley.
Ashley fronts the band as the lead singer with her sultry, mysterious twang, while Carter adds backing vocals and acoustic guitar. The band is rounded out by the talents of Casey Cockrum on bass and backing vocals, Andrew Sergent on drums and backing vocals, and Martin Phillip on electric guitar.
If Birds Could Fly are a breath of fresh air in the genres of folk and Americana. They hail from Southwest Virginia and bring their roots of old country and ghostly melodies to a new and refreshing stage with flourishes of several other genres. There is something everyone can enjoy when listening to If Birds Could Fly from soothing guitar melodies to chilling vocals. These birds are ready to fly.
