Slow U: "Champagne" and Oysters

Champagne and oysters go hand in hand. What better way to celebrate the start of summer than with a local take on this classic pairing?

Join us for a talk and tasting as you sample 4 different sparkling wines from NY state and a dozen of the freshest local oysters. Learn about how various sparkling wines are made, the méthode champenoise process (how traditional Champagne is produced in France), and the characteristics of each wine. With your ticket, you'll also enjoy a dozen Bluepoint oysters harvested from local waters and have the opportunity to purchase more oysters for just $1 each!

Leonardo Manno, from Sparkling Pointe Wine in the North Fork of Long Island, and TJ Provenzano, from Brooklyn Oenology, will be leading the discussion.
