Ethical Fashion Show

The Ethical Fashion Show is a fun competition that requires creativity and a sense of fashion. The purpose of this contest is to encourage teens to support their local thrift stores; to show teens that where and how they shop affects the world; and to prove to everyone that it is possible to be stylish on a budget. In the competition, teens will be required to shop at their local thrift shop/second-hand store (Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc.) and put together a high-fashion outfit created all from second-hand clothing, jewelry, accessories and shoes.

The Ethical Fashion Show will provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any teen who has ever dreamed about being involved in the fashion industry, whether they want to be a designer, artist, stylist, or model. In addition to prizes, everyone who competes, regardless of whether they win or not, will get one-on-one feedback with a panel of judges who are prestigious members of the fashion industry, such as Christopher Collins, a San Francisco-based designer who has been on the TV Show Project Runway, Margaret Mitchell President and Founder of the Epi Center Med Spa, Heidi Pettit Founder of Vie Public Relations and Charleston Pierce Director/Producer Charlestonpierce.com.
