Adaptive Arts Theater in collaboration with the YM/YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood is proud to present:

Making the Invisible Visible: An exploration of the Intersection of Theater and Disability in our Theatrical and Educational Communities.

Session One (10am-12pm): Acting with Autism
How can we use theater to heighten social/emotional awareness in students with Autism?

Session two (12:30-5pm): Awareness and Accessibility
Part one: Awareness
How can we use theater as a "way in" to open a dialogue about and celebrate the differences in some of our learners?

Part two: Accessibility
How can we as theater artists create an accessible theater experience for individuals with Autism?
How can we adjust our perception of the Audience to Art relationship?

Please note: Individuals can register for the full day of the conference or for one of the two sessions.
