AK JAZZ Song of the Year 2013

At TONIGHT's LIVE contest we will select the winners in four categories:

- Best New Jazz Song

- Best New Jazz Standard (over Rhythm changes, 12 bar blues, etc )

- Best New Jazz Tune - any style, any genre

- Best New Arrangement

PLUS People's Choice Award across all categories

AK Jazz Song of the Year is an incentive for everyone who writes music to share it and your process, with your peers and with your audience!
That is what Spenard JazzFest is all about!

Great prizes for winners and runners-up, who also gets to take home a professional live recording of their tune.

This is the first time SJF holds a competition, so we're excited to see how many people sign up.

Contestants submit chart(s) and entry fee by June 1st. Their music gets a run for its money at a workshop rehearsal early June, before the final contest performance in front of YOU, our supportive JazzFest audience and 5 professional jurors.

All entries must be originals, must have been completed within the last 12 months and should not have been performed live, recorded or broadcast in their present form prior to submission.
