Bitchin' Purge 3: Battle Of The Sexes
Bitchin' Purge is a monthly live-show at Jerry's in Wicker Park where real-life service industry employees tell true stories about the industry. So far we've had servers, cooks, bartenders, hotel valets, and hotel doormen.
Bitchin' Purge has raised $1,100 for Alzheimer's research with just the first 2 shows! The third promises to contribute even more!
Bitchin' Purge 3 pits real live storytellers against one another in a competition to see who the better story-tellers are- guys or girls.
Stories are between 3-5 minutes, must be true, cannot slander an establishment, and do not involve any sort of food-tampering stories.
As always, Bitchin' Purge opens with standup comedy to get the evening started on a fun note. This month's comedians will be Megan Gailey, co-host of Naked Sports Live and Sick Day, as well as the surreal and brilliant Ray Holleb. Comedians have extended sets and typically perform material you wouldn't necessarily see them doing in a comedy club.
Tickets are $5 here on Brown Paper Tickets or a $10 donation at the door. Proceeds benefit MaeBellWard.org.
Additionally, we will hold a 50/50 cash raffle.
Together we will bitch, purge, and have a bitchin' time doing so.
If you would like to participate in the story-slam, please contact Steve Shields at: stevershields@gmail.com
Cheers!
