Conversations with Sonny
Join the Jazz Heritage Center on Sunday, May 19 as it premieres "Conversations with Sonny". Jazz historian and radio personality Sonny Buxton begins a monthly conversation with Bay Area personalities and musicians about the jazz scene here that has made the Bay Area home to great jazz for decades.
Sonny launches the new series in conversation with Belva Davis, recently retired from KQED-TV. The esteemed journalist was the first person of color to work as a broadcast journalist on the West Coast.
The core mission of the Jazz Heritage Center is to preserve and celebrate the rich jazz culture and history of the Bay Area and the Fillmore.
The conversation will be videotaped before a live audience on May 19th at 3pm in the Jazz Heritage Center's Media & Education Theater. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
No videotaping or photography will be allowed without advance permission from the Jazz Heritage Center. Contact us at info@jazzheritagecenter.org
