The Rendezvous featuring LuQuantum Leap Plus MIKA and Stori James

The Rendezvous is one of NYC's hottest and longest running monthly events featuring live performances from some of the most talented independent artists in the music industry.

The next edition of The Rendezvous is special, it takes place one week early on May 20th and we'll have a pre-birthday celebration and pre-cd release performance by

LuQuantumLeap

LuQuantumLeap co wrote the title song of the Spike Lee Joint "He Got Game" with Public Enemy, He's worked with Alicia Keys, co-writing songs on her debut cd "Songs in A Minor" as well as performing with her on two mix cds under the group name KrucialKeys. He has also performed at The Blue Note with Rachelle Ferrell, Darien Dean and Maya Azucenaand Just recently performed at BAM CAfe as a part of the collective Onaje Allan Gumbs & New Vintage that included Darien Dean, Tai Allen, Toni Blackman Abiodun of the Last Poets and a host of others.He is currently finishing his album "Life After Breath"

MiKA is a Singer/Songwriter/Actress born and raised in Harlem, NY. She is looking forward to worked with artists from all genre's of music. For the last year MiKA has been performing at live venues throughout NYC, around the US & in Europe in support of her debut solo project "Confirmations". She is now completing her followup cd that will explore her love of World Music.

Stori James

Stori is a singer/songwriter with modest roots and an extraordinary future in music. She started out in a small city not far from New York City. Her music stirs the spirits and souls of each individual who encounters it. Its something you've never heard before but want to here again. She puts her signature on everything she creates with her soulful unique voice and her memorable melodies. Her lyrics represent the light in every dark place ,expressed through savy simple reality. She creates the intimacy of a one on one conversation about her life, amongst crowds of thousands, like vulnerablity were a gift. Weather shes performing or playing through your speakers her realness is penetrating, refreshing and timeless.

The Rendezvous as always takes place at Shrine World Music Venue at 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. bet. 133rd & 134th Street in Harlem, NYC. Doors open at 7PM. Performances begin at 8:00PM. Admission is $10.00.
