Event
Book reading/signing
In 1997, Seattle voters approved an initiative which called for the city to 'build, operate and maintain' a forty mile monorail system. Dick Falkenbury had written the proposal. He has now written a lively, humorous book of how the city came to embrace the monorail, how it progressed and the people who killed the project from within the organization. He will tell his story, answer questions and sign anything put in front of him. 'Rise Above It All' will be available for purchase at this event.
