Motown Sunday

How important a father is in his daughter's life can sometimes be witnessed by the men she chooses to love. Motown Sunday, a play based on the poem, Sitting on the Porch on a Motown Sunday depicts the life of a six year old girl and her journey into adulthood without the security and love of a father who abandoned her. Entangled in a web of the life of her mother and the men she cannot seem to sustain stable relationships with, Sharon finds solace in longtime friend Solomon who tries to show her that love does not always leave. Though Solomon's heart is in the right place, this journey is for Sharon alone...where will it end? Will she face the demons of her past?, or will she be forced to live life alone?
