NOAA Open House - Shoreline Restoration Tour - 2:00 pm
On June 14th the NOAA Western Regional Center's Campus north of Magnuson Park will open it's doors to the public. Come explore what NOAA Knows! The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration in Seattle will have tours, interactive exhibits, films, and more!
Shoreline Restoration and Public Art walk
Walk the campus grounds with a staff from NOAA's Restoration Center and learn how NOAA works to restore coastal and riparian habitats within our region. Explore and learn the history of the six art sculptures located across the campus designed to reflect NOAA's work in the oceans and atmosphere by incorporating wind, sound and water. Physical considerations: This tour will take you over uneven gravel trails and is approximately an hour and 1 mile in length.
Tour times: 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm (reservable), 3:30 pm, and 5:00 pm (reservable). NOTE: If you reserve a spot please check in 15 minutes prior to your tour time. If you do not show up 15 minutes prior to your tour time your spot will be given to someone else.
Maximum number of people per tour: 20
This can also be done as a self-guided tour using the NOAA In Seattle brochure given out at the event.
