Follow my lead into the pathless path into heart of the Beloved, into our very own heart
ERIC SCHNEIDER performed the last 2 years in Boulder to a sold out and satisfied crowd. He is a California native who brings to life the ancient, fierce and playful wisdom poetry of the Sufi and other mystics---Rumi, Hafiz, Kabir, Tukuram, Lalla, Goethe, and Adyashanti. He has memorized 200+ poems and, like a mystic Rumi jukebox, spouts poems on just about any spiritual subject. The alchemy of music and poetry has the knack of rekindling the flame of love and aliveness in the heart of the listener.
Eric, often performs at spiritual retreats, house concerts, weddings, and benefits. He co-edited "My Secret Is Silence", poems and sayings of his teacher Adyashanti and is a founding member of the Santa Cruz improv troupe "Loose Cannon Theater".
Comments from past performances:
"The poems open my heart into ecstasy."
"Oh, it was soooo delicious. I sat in the front row, let the guitar, drums, voice and poetry drip onto me. Had to keep myself from yelping out loud with pleasure (mostly kept it down, anyway). Perfection."
"WOWEE!!....what an AMAZING evening!!. After the way I was feeling earlier today...listening to these three extremely TALENTED men just put me in heaven space. ERIC, you, Armando....and your percussionist were absolutely SUBLIME!!!!! Your selection of Hafiz and Rumi poems were PERFECT."
"Where else can you go and eat awesome raw healthy food and hear such talented people! It was better than a rock concert or night club! Master Eric Schneider recited Rumi poetry for over an hour along with virtuoso cellist Elaine Kreston who provided a sensitive and powerful accompaniment! I can only feel pity for anyone who missed this event. (Raw & Rumi potluck event, with RumiCello)"
