The TED conference is a yearly gathering of people passionate about the power of ideas. Thinkers and storytellers explain their passion to a captivated audience and all talks are recorded and made available for free online. TEDTalks range in topic from the philosophy of happiness, to solutions to the global energy crisis, to education reform, to musical, poetic and dance performances ( www.ted.com).
To keep the dialogue going, TED created TEDx - satellite events held around the globe year-round. Licensed by TED, a TEDx event provides local communities with an opportunity to bring people together to discuss ideas that change our world and share a TED-like experience.
TEDxCulverCity makes its stage debut on June 23rd, 2013 and will include a line-up of 16 exceptional live speakers, performers and TEDTalk videos. The talks will cover a variety of topics from education to bio-medical advances, world affairs, technology in film and more.
