This three hour event is a fundraiser to support Art Therapy in Washington state and costs for the upcoming national Art Therapy conference in Seattle in June. It is also to help fund the Tibetan Children's Education Foundation and the monks coming to the conference to create a traditional sand mandala. There will be appetizers, wine/beer, live music and a silent art auction of a variety of pieces that are all Mandala themed. A mandala is a circular design and it's name originates from Sanskrit meaning circle. It has spiritual meaning in many cultures and is a metaphor for coming to center, balance and harmony. It is a wonderful metaphor for healing and wholeness. Please pre-purchase tickets through brown paper tickets. The event will be held at the Blue Ribbon Culinary Center in Eastlake right on the water with a view of Gasworks Park. There is plenty of free parking. Tickets can be purchased at the door but there will be a $5 increase in cost.
