The Dollhouse Tree
The Stage Players present their sixth live production, The Doll House Tree, written and directed by Ms. Michael Anna Fambro. The play is adapted from the book of the same name, written by Warsaw local Jamie Ackerman at the age of six. This play offers a unique opportunity to see how a young imagination becomes theatrical creation at The Stage.
This original story features Rose and her sister, Sarah, and the adventures that result from a mysterious packet of seeds. After the seeds are planted, a tree filled with dollhouses erupts from the ground, sweeping the sisters into the 1940s. The modern day sisters meet a company of 1940s characters, including two young lovers fighting to get married in spite of the obstacles they face.
The beautiful set and progressive technology used in The Doll House Tree are the most advanced that The Stage has ever used in a live production, creating a spectacle that will compel the audience's imagination to be swept away. The 1940s and modern day are brought together on one stage in a way that must be seen to be believed.
This show is made possible with funding from the Arts Council of Wyoming County and the New York State Council on the Arts, with support from the New York State Legislature and Governor Andrew Cuomo.
