An evening w/ Commander Cody and His New Lost Planet Airmen
The Commander & his hot band will be in the house at the Marbletucky Inn to entertain us with an evening of his Boogie Woogie and American roots based music. Ever since his wild early days as a front man for the Lost Planet Airmen, the Old Commander has plowed his own path through the fields of the American music scene as one of its few truly unique and iconoclastic figures. His special blend of old-time rock 'n' roll, redneck country, boogie woogie and swing has virtually defined American roots music. Finding the Commander "lost in the ozone" once more, this latest album, "Dopers, Drunks, and Everyday Losers" will delight old and new fans alike with its mix of new songs and classics from the Cody catalog.
The Marbletucky Inn will offer a menu selection inclusive in the ticket price. Some of the offerings will be Carolina Pulled Pork, Fried Catfish, Southern Fried Chicken, Southern Style Vegetables, Banana Pudding, & a non alcoholic Beverage. Here at Marbletucky Inn, our goal is sensory overload for both the patrons as well as the bands we host. We are creating a venue that has visual, audio, taste, and smell elements. Our mission is to take both the patrons & the bands back to the roots of Americana music -- back to the old South with the Juke Joints and BBQ Barns. The walls are murals depicting the Carolina Lowcountry, the stage is the porch of a sharecropper's house, and our food is of the old South. Our sound system is state-of-the-art with quality of sound being the emphasis over volume. Southern hospitality resounds -- everyone has a seat, a waitress, and an unobstructed view of the stage. There is no standing room. We have succeeded if both patrons and bands want to come back for more! The Marbletucky Inn will preserve the rich traditions of creativity available everywhere. Whether it be preparing amazing dishes using all fresh natural ingredients, a painter sharing his vision, or a live band performing -- each is a unique pallet of love and creativity. Every artisan, no matter the genre, all possess great creativity, imagination, and a means to express these gifts. These different gifts of love deserve to be preserved as well as showcased! That's what we intend to do!
