5th Annual Find a Cure Bash in Memory of Teresa Dance Tuck
Please join the Circle of Friends for the The 5th Annual Find a Cure Bash in memory of our beautiful friend, Teresa Dance Tuck on Saturday evening, July 20th from 7-12 at Old Towne Civic Center in Petersburg, VA.
In February of 2009, Teresa lost her battle with breast cancer and leukemia after a 2 year struggle with both forms of cancer. During her 37 years in this world, Teresa fulfilled many roles -beloved wife, mother, daughter, friend, teacher and social worker, citizen and Christian - and did so with enthusiasm, honesty and unparalleled compassion. In an effort to both celebrate what would have been Teresa's 42nd Birthday and continue the efforts in making strides for cancer research, this event is a favorite Tri-City Outreach fundraiser and will feature live music from Redneck Pool Party, tastings from local restaurants as well as exciting silent and live auctions. All proceeds will benefit the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond. Due in part to its ground breaking strides in cancer research, Massey is one of only two cancer centers in Virginia designated National Cancer Institutes. All monies raised at the Bash will be "earmarked" for the newest cancer research program just now getting underway at Massey in hopes that this will be the one to finally find that life saving cure!
Please join new and old friends as we raise money to stop this awful disease from taking another life while celebrating the lives of those dear friends who so sadly lost their battles before a cure could be found.
