There's no place like home for Penelope, who lives in a modest but magical house, built just for her with love and labor by her colorful grandparents. Then a tornado of troubles lays claim to Penelope's home and drops her among the legions of those dispossessed by America's foreclosure epidemic. But a couple of crumbling yellow bricks are about to launch Penelope on the road to discovering that she is not alone - that amid this crisis of real-world pain, there are plenty of surprising heroes conjuring a potent real-life magic.
Part people's history, part road story, and part call to action, APTP's nineteenth world premiere reassembles one of America's most iconic movie myths in a meditation on home ownership and the American Dream.
