Melodrama Workout Night
It's a dark and stormy night... and you're in it. And may die... Melodrama joins music and drama using spectacle, gesture, pantomime, bold characters and physicality, heroes and villains, the struggle of virtue and evil. The most expressive of the dramatic forms, we play with high stakes and emotions expressing fully in the body. Unlike method based psychological acting, Melodrama is akin to Artaud's "athlete of the emotions." And with the Grand Guignolers, expect not boring & fun. All levels welcome.
BRING: clothes and shoes in which you can move easily, no dangling jewelry. Bring treats/drinks to share in post-workout soiree if you'd like to join. NO PARKING IN ARTWORKS LOT. Street Parking after 7 free.
