The Roast A Special Night of Comedy for Suicide Awareness
Hey everyone!
The Roast is a charity event put together by six friends that have known each other for 20+ years. Roughly two years ago, the group lost the seventh member of their lifelong crew to suicide. Everything (100%) made from ticket sales and donations for The Roast will go to the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention).
The Roast will be on Friday, November 3rd at 8pm at Fitz's Spare Keys in Elmhurst, IL. Tickets for the event will be $15 online and $20 at the door. Donations will also be accepted throughout the night.
The six friends and roasters for the evening are Matt Aguilar, Pat Bailey, Sean Copher, Danny Hartney, Mike Otte, and Scott Werba. You don't know their names, but by the end of the night you will.
The Roastmaster is Chicago comic Connor King, a producer of his own comedy show at Second City. There will also be special guest opening acts Lucas O'Neil and Kahlil Wilson, who are two more hilarious Chicago comics who have performed at many clubs and shows across the city.
The irony of tossing insults at each other to benefit suicide awareness is not lost on any of us. We just want to put on a good show and donate a bunch of money to a good cause in memory of our friend, who would have roasted all of us the hardest.
Cheers!
