Mister Hamster's Rescue Book Launch Party
Minnesota based author, Stephanie Lee Allensworth is celebrating the release of her first new childrens book, Mister Hamsters Rescue, with a special signing and meet and greet on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1:30-4:00pm at Crave in the West End, 1603 West End Blvd St Louis Park, MN 55416. Appetizers will be provided, cash bar available. Books also available for purchase as well as a drawing for a $50 Crave gift card, 1 hardcover copy of the book and 3 childrens size Mr. Hamster T-Shirts. Released in the fall of 2017 on Amazon.com, followed by printed editions in hardcover and paperback, Misters Hamsters Rescue: A True Story of How a Creative Idea Saved the Day, is an endearing story for children that describes how a family concocted a unique plan to help rescue the lonely and hungry Mister Hamster, after he snuck out of his cage for a walk around the house and experienced quite an adventure.
Mister Hamster was a very happy and fluffy tan-and-white hamster who lived in a big cage in a big house with his young caretaker, Ricky. One day, when Ricky was done cleaning Mister Hamster's cage, he forgot to close the door properly. Mister Hamster discovered the door was open, so he snuck out for a walk around the house and an adventure.
Mister Hamster was looking at all the new sights when suddenly he fell into a long dark tunnel and became trapped at the bottom. The family was worried when they discovered Mister Hamster was missing. They searched everywhere. Jason, the family dog, alerted the family to the hamster's whereabouts. He was trapped in a floor vent two stories down.
The author, Stephanie Lee Allensworth, uses creative storytelling and illustrations to share the memories she has growing up in a household with many family pets. A Minnesota native, Allensworth studied at St. Marys University as well as The Academy for Film and Television. She has contributed to the arts in many capacities as an actor, model, publicity director, casting agent, talent agent, Reiki healer, and writer. Branching out to fulfill another creative side, Allensworth now adds published author to her list of accomplishments.
As she looks forward to her first book signing, Stephanie states; Follow your hearts and dreams. You never know where they will take you, but its sure to be an adventure!
