The Women's Balcony
After the collapse of the women's balcony in an Israeli Orthodox congregation, a charismatic young rabbi has an immediate impact on the struggling congregation. Numerous changes to their synagogue test long-time friendships and lead to a battle of the sexes. Director Emil Ben-Shimon describes this film as a story about brave, strong women who fight for their place in their community and homes. Viewers will leave the theater in a joyous mood after seeing this warm-hearted comedy.
