The Thirsty Pigeons, Welcome to Polygamy Island
This original musical comedy stars Emily Roya O'Brien (3 time Daytime Emmy nominated actress and writer) and Chauncey Jenkins (Grey's Anatomy, The Color Purple - Broadway) as Shelby and Dr. P.
Upcoming writers/actors Chandler Darby and David San Miguel have partnered with Creative Mentor and writer, Patrick Welborn (Allegory CT), to take their improv-musical act, The Thirsty Pigeons, and expand it into a full-length musical.
It's a quick-paced, fun story with a warm heart and sweet message, while not taking itself too seriously.
It's almost as if "The Book of Mormon", "Flight of the Concords" and "Once" had a baby, and that baby is suitable for all ages!
Here's a synopsis:
When the CIA learns that a pair of hypnotists, code-named The Thirsty Pigeons, have been hired to kidnap and brainwash Shelby, the CIA's most attractive female agent, they suspect it to be the work of Dr. Polygamy, an evil billionaire with an insatiable desire for more wives. However, during their attempted kidnapping, The Thirsty Pigeons are inadvertently captured by Shelby, who discovers that they have a striking resemblance to a couple of CIA agents she knows, her ex-boyfriend, Robbie Miller (Chandler Darby), and the falsely accused culprit for the break-up, Elson Marsh (David San Miguel). Now, in an attempt to rescue all the kidnapped wives from Dr. Polygamy's island, Robbie and Elson must learn to reconcile their own mysterious past and go undercover as The Thirsty Pigeons, bringing with them Dr. P's targeted fiancee, Shelby.
Once on the island, tensions rise, the island works its magic, and everyone's true colors begin to show. Shelby sees a new side of Dr. Polygamy, starting a change in him that ultimately spreads to the entire team. It's a powerful thing to show someone love and to be truly loved in return.
