1 Zydeco Dance Party with the Legendary Ils Sont Partis Band
(Advance tickets $23.04 after tax and fee)
Named "one of the best bands in America" by The New York Times, Buckwheat Zydeco was once synonymous with Louisiana's brand of zydeco music. After the passing of Stanley "Buckwheat" Dural, Jr. in 2016, his successor, Sir Reginald Master Dural now carries on the musically mellifluous tradition of Buckwheat Zydeco as the Ils Sont Partis Band. With an eclectic roster of musicians playing accordion, organs, keyboards, trumpet and rub boards - along with many more electric and acoustic instruments - this band has a unique, jam-heavy and dynamic sound that has wowed audiences and critics alike.
Career highlights for the band include winning the 2009 GRAMMY for Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album with Lay Your Burden, plus decades of iconic performances at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Montreaux Jazz Festival, plus national TV appearances on David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon, Conan OBrien, and many more.
