7th Annual Gala Concert - Beethovan to Broadway
Our in-house concert pianists, Audrey Schneider and Arbie Orenstein, will be performing four-hand works by Grieg, Mozart and Brahms, as well as solo works by Chopin and Beethoven.
Audrey Schneider and Arbie Orenstein have performed as duo-pianist for the past thirty-eight years, while simultaneously maintaining individual careers as teachers, solo pianists, lecturers and accompanists.
Distinguished soprano, Shira Lissek will be our guest artist. She will be performing Broadway classics and other familiar works.
Guest Artist, Soprano, Shira Lissek is a versatile artist, equally at home on the opera, concert, cabaret and musical theater stages. Her operatic performances include Donna Elvira in Mozarts Don Giovanni, and Mimi in Puccinis La Boheme. She has performed popular show tunes of Irving Berlin, Barbara Streisand and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
She is the daughter of Cantor Leon Lissek and granddaughter of Rabbi Pinchos Chazin. Shira Lissek is currently the Assistant Cantor of the Park Avenue Synagogue.
