The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, Oregon welcomes visitors to our lands to camp and view the historic August 21st solar eclipse. This will be the first total solar eclipse to be visible in the continental United States since 1979! The Path of Totality crosses directly over majestic Mt. Jefferson and is in full view from Warm Springs. Together we will get to experience a total of 2 minute 02.3 seconds of darkness during this celestial event. Warm Springs and Madras locations are ranked as the #1 viewing sites for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The Tribe is offering several opportunities for visitors to our Nation. These include:

Elmer Quinn Campsite (4-night min.) / $425
Elmer Quinn Park is located along the Shitike Creek. Campsites measure 20 x 20 and allow up to 4 people with 1 offsite parking spot. Our family-friendly campsite is drug and alcohol free with portable toilets on site and access to potable water. Guests will have access showers at the Community Center across the street. Elmer Quinn Park has a skate park, basketball court and a limited number of picnic tables. Additional night stay can be booked on site for guests wishing to stay until Tue.

Community Center RV Site (4-night min.) / $475
RV parking is available at the Warm Springs Community Center. Our family-friendly site is drug and alcohol free with flush toilets on site and access to potable water and showers at the Community Center. There is no access to electricity but generators are allowed. RV dumping is included in fee.

Tribal Admin Overnight RV Site / $150
Overnight RV parking is available at the Tribal Administration office parking lot. This site is best suited for fully contained RVs. There is no access to electricity but generators are allowed. Bathrooms in the building will be available Sun. from 2:00 pm  10:00 pm and Mon. from 5:00 am - 1:00 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring your chairs and set up on the grass to watch this celestial event. RV site will open on Sunday at noon and visitors must vacate by 6:00 pm on that date. Additional night stay can be booked on site for guests wishing to stay until Tue.

Community Center Overnight Camping / $150
Overnight tent camping is available on the baseball fields at the Community Center. Our family-friendly sites are drug and alcohol free with flush toilets on site and access to potable water and showers at the Community Center. Guests are encouraged to bring your chairs and set up on the grass to watch this celestial event or walk to the Warm Springs K-8 Academy to participate in the solar eclipse viewing event and NASA balloon launch. Campsite will open on Sunday at noon and visitors must vacate by 6:00 pm on Mon. Additional night stay can be booked on site for guests wishing to stay until Tue.

Eclipse Viewing Day Parking A / $30 per vehicle
Day parking will open at 5:00 am on Mon., Aug.21 at the Tribal Administration. Bathrooms will be available Mon. from 5:00 am  1:00 pm. All day parking must be vacated by 6:00 pm, no overnight camping.

Eclipse Viewing Day Parking B / $30 per vehicle
Day parking will open at 5:00 am on Mon. at the Community Center. Guests will have access to flush toilets. Guests are encouraged to bring your chairs and set up on the grass to watch this celestial event or walk to the Warm Springs K-8 Academy to participate in the solar eclipse viewing event and NASA balloon launch.   All parking must be vacated by 6:00 pm, no overnight camping.

DETAILS FOR ALL CAMPSITES AND RV PARKING
-Elmer Quinn campsite and the Community Center RV site will open on Fri., Aug. 18th at noon and close on Tue., Aug. 22nd at noon. Sites will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
-Day parking and overnight camping open at noon on Sun., Aug. 20th and close Mon., Aug. 21st at 6 pm. Sites will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
-Campsites are limited to 4 persons with 1 parking pass. Additional vehicles are allowed for a fee.
-Pets or service animals are allowed for an additional fee and must be leashed while on the premises. Owners are responsible for picking up and properly disposing of pet waste.
-Propane camp stoves only. Due to high fire season, no open fires or charcoal grills are permitted.
-No drug, cannabis or alcohol use.
-No firearms allowed.
-No off road motorcycles or ATVs permitted.
-No fireworks allowed on any site.
-Quiet time is from 10:00 pm  8:00 am.

LOCAL EVENTS

Over the weekend, numerous events will be held in the community at the Indian Head Casino and Museum at Warm Springs. The Native Sol Eclipse Fest will feature tribal vendors, food, and performances by nationally recognized Native American artists and NASA is hosting several events at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy. Visitors will be able to access bus transportation to Indian Head Casino and the Museum from the Community Center and can also stop off at the Oregon Solarfest and Solar Town in Madras.  For more information on bus passes and to purchase visit: https://www.oregonsolarfest.com/shuttle-info.

In addition to camping and viewing sites in Warm Springs, there are also a number of areas on the reservation that are open to non-Tribal members through the purchase of a fishing/camping permit including Indian Park, Lower Dry Creek, and the High Cascade area including Long Lake, Dark Lake, Island Lake, Boulder Lake and Trout Lake.  There are no reservations available for Indian Park during the solar eclipse weekend.
