8/26, Central Stage: The Basic Beat / itty bitty city /Jeff Hanson's Here At Home!
LAST 3 DAYS, ADVANCE TICKETS ONLY $5.00 !! This is going to be a special show on Saturday 8/26 in Richmond, featuring THREE BANDS. The Central Stage in Richmond is very close to the I-80 freeway and features excellent live sound characteristics, with a tiered seating area for about 80 people as well as a nice dance area in front of the band.
The Basic Beat was formed in Berkeley in 2012 by guitarist & singer Sam Weinstein; this band has had the same lineup for 4 years and will be serving you their usual psychedelic-blues-rock-reggae-country stew, as always featuring the sweet guitar sounds of David Matela, who writes about half the tunes.
And, you will LOVE jammin' Itty Bitty City! Recently formed by piano player Alex Cory, they feature a complex and compelling jam/electronica sound that will perk up your ears."Like cartoon workers in a Max Fleischer animated factory, the four members of Itty Bitty City pull levers and adjust knobs diligently, their musical assemblages bouncing ever more swiftly along the conveyor belt, always threatening to get away from them..."
Our special guest Jeff Hanson is a San Francisco singer/songwriter whose singing style has been likened to Elvis Costello and Tom Petty.
Kid friendly, BYOB, disabled access, KIDS UNDER 12 ARE FREE!
Admission will be $7 advance and $10-$20 sliding scale at the door. STARTING 8/22 ADVANCE TIX WILL BE $5.00 !!
