Out of the Mouth of a Woman
Now that I am a "crone," I have a story to tell. Songs from the Irish and Scots folk music tradition from the viewpoint of a woman, visiting all of the stages of my own life as a woman--child, maiden, mother, and crone--a story with humor and courage, sadness and loss that includes my mother, grandmother, and our Irish ancestors.
The feeling of the show is a living room of friends at a song circle. Story leads to song, accompanied by acoustic guitars played by Claudia and Kat Eggleston. The venue is room 311 in The Irish-American Heritage Center, an intimate room with a fireplace.
