Edinburgh local and bassist of choice for Gorillaz, Emma Smith presents an all female line-up of inspirational musical improvisers from around Scotland, rounded off nicely by Edinburgh's notorious DJ crew NikNak.
A night of top female instrumental improvising talent.
In response to the eternal assumption that the only woman in the band must be the singer, Bitches Brew is a night of music written / improvised and performed by some of the best female instrumentalists around. Flying in the face of reports that all-female bands are often seen by bookers and agents as novelty acts, and that more than one in a night would just be over-kill, Emma presents a gloriously eclectic night of music which celebrates the mind-blowing variety of talent playing, dancing and pushing boundaries of creative music.
