Musical Theater Masterclass with Corey Mach
One of the biggest challenges of being a Musical Theater actor is the dreaded AUDITION. Learn how to conquer the audition room with ease, receiving personal tips from Corey Mach, seen on Broadway in HANDS ON A HARDBODY, GODSPELL, and on tour in WICKED, RENT, and FLASHDANCE.
The masterclass will be held at the Danny Peterson Theater inside the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts (Boise State University). The main entrance is on the south, or parking lot side, of the building, not the Greenbelt/river side.
-Please prepare two 32-bar cuts of two contrasting songs of your choice that show personality and range. An accompanist will be provided. -Please place the double-sided music in a binder. -If you have other music, or an audition book you use, bring it! We may have time for more than two songs. -If you're not a singer, prepare a memorized monologue and Corey can work on that with you instead. -If you have a resume/headshot, bring that as well. -There is a discounted rate if you would just like to observe and not participate. -Ages 14 and up.
This will be a fun, laid back, and HUGELY informative day containing a wealth of information about musical theater!
