Get ready to spend a mysterious thrilling evening watching Spiders Web a show full of twists and turns at Center Stage Community Theater in Lebanon, IN.
THE STORY: Clarissa the second wife of Henry Hailsham Brown, is adept at spinning tales of adventure for their bored diplomatic circle. When a murder takes place in her drawing room she finds live drama much harder to cope with, especially as she suspects the murderer might be her young stepdaughter Pippa. Worse still, the victim is the man who broke up Henry's first marriage! Clarissa's fast talking places her in some hair raising experiences, as she comes to learn that the facts are much more terrifying than fiction...
The beauty of this show comes from the eleven member cast portraying these wonderful characters. No one could give a better performance. Some of the actors are veterans with Center Stage, while others are newcomers to this stage.
Clarissa Hailsham- Brown is played by the very talented and lovely Emily Jackson. Piper Williams plays Pippa Hailsham - Brown & Tom Smith plays Henry Hailsham - Brown. Sir Rowland Delahaye is portrayed by the talented Jim Updike. The rest of this mysterious cast is rounded out by Will Pullins (Hugo Birch), Ken Kingshell (Jeremy Warrender), Matthew Pickens (Oliver Costello), Thom Johnson (Elgin), Rick Sharp (Inspector Lord), Dave Jackson (Constable Jones) and the hilarious Dottie Ostby (Mildred Peake the Gardner).
Director Jan Jamison is not only a talented award winning director but also a very talented actress. She has been seen several times on the stage at many theaters around the Indy area. She will use all her directing and on stage experience to bring a new energy to this extremely mysterious production.
The unique set, costumes and the talent of the cast all promise a couple of hours of welcomed diversion and entertainment for the entire family.
