Seattle-based Lemolo comes back to Cellar Door for another unforgettable, intimate performance, joined for this show only by Seattle-based, ethereal female-fronted duo Golden Gardens.

Lemolo is the Seattle dream-pop band fronted by songwriter and musician Meagan Grandall. The bands ethereal sound has garnered comparisons to Cat Power, Feist, Beach House, and Warpaint. Grandall formed Lemolo in 2009, inspired by her hometown neighborhood of Lemolo Shore and the quiet beauty of the Pacific Northwest. With help from drummer Adrian Centoni, the band has since been named one of the "Best Seattle Bands" by Seattle Magazine, was voted "Best New Band" by City Arts Magazine, and was just named one of the "Top Bands Rocking Seattle" by Seattle Magazine. Lemolo has released multiple albums independently, and has performed continually sold out shows in Seattle and tours throughout the US and Europe.
Help welcome Lemolo back to Cellar Door on their "New Songs and Spaces Tour", as they debut new songs that will be on their forthcoming album in intimate listening spaces.
Joining Lemolo is Seattle-based Golden Gardens, a mystical duo up from the nocturnal underground, weaving dreamscapes and anthems for magical minds. The project began with the duo living on separate coasts - Bramble in Seattle and Neville in Tampa, FL. After file sharing their way to a debut EP (Somnambulist, out of print) and a subsequent small-run LP (Between the Siren and the Amulet), the growing demand for live shows and increased musical output became a catalyst to bring the two musicians together geographically. Neville moved to Seattle in early 2012, and theyve been persistently growing their following in the underground dark music scene.
Their 2016 release, Reign, is a sharp and lustrously shimmering collection of etherpop, full of crystalline synths and glittery vocals contrasted with a razor-sharp edge of bright electric guitars. Neville and Bramble teamed up with producer Martin Feveyear (Mark Lanegan, Jesse Sykes, Mudhoney) on this effort, a bold and crisp 9-track exploration of personal power and fierce female archetypes. The first single from the record, "Extrasolar Heartbeat," was recently selected as "Song of the Day" on world-renowned KEXP 90.3 FM, and was also included on their August 2016 podcast "Strange Relations and Lost Boys" alongside Still Corners, The Faint, Samaris, and more. The album debuted on KEXP's Top 20 Variety Chart, and has since sat at the Number 1 NW Release on the station for multiple weeks in a row.
