Kate MacLeod - CD Release - Celebrating the Land
Tonight, Kate MacLeod will be performing her first concert in celebration of her violin, landscape, and nature recording project. This project celebrates 50 years of violin playing, and while Kate has been a fiddle-player for a long list of recording artists, both regionally and nationally, this is her first full-length recording project of her fiddle playing, featuring original compositions inspired by landscape and nature.
Accompanying musicians for the concert are Otter Creek, Mark Hazel, Bob Smith, from Salt Lake City, UT and James Scott from Nashville, TN. This promises to be a soulful and magical evening of Kate's original collection of instrumental pieces. Kate is a transplant from America's eastern shores, whose music is inspired by many natural places including our rugged mountains, canyons, and deserts of Utah.
There will be adult beverages, refreshments, and hors d'oeuvres.
Doors open at 7pm, general seating.
CDs and other merchandise will be sold at a discount during this event.
Please join us for this community celebration of music.
Parking: There will be an attendent at the Memory Grove gate for easy access.
Plans for the concert now include an after-concert jam session, because it's such a lovely space and we don't need to be out of the building until 11pm. Bring your instruments!
If you have any questions please email your questions to mjb1462@yahoo.com.
