Inspiration, Design, Technique: Revealing Masterpieces
The Moffatt-Ladd House and Garden will host the New Hampshire Furniture Masters (NHFM) for a reception and exhibition titled: Inspiration, Design, Technique: Revealing Masterpieces on Saturday, July 22, from 5pm to 7pm. Furniture Masters will display their creations and will be on hand to showcase their work and technique. The evening will begin with the Masters talking about the early furniture in the Moffatt-Ladd collection that most inspires them, noted Barbara Ward, director and curator of the Moffatt-Ladd House. But the real highlight of the evening is when the Masters unveil their new works and reveal their design process and special techniques. The evening will feature five Masters: John Comeron, Timothy Coleman, Jeffrey Cooper, Eric Grant, and Richard Oedel, , and 2 invited artists: Owain Harris and Roger Myers. The reception will feature refreshments provided by local restaurants and a cash bar provided by Chill Catering. The event is open to the public and tickets are $10 per person. All proceeds will benefit the Moffatt-Ladd House & Garden and its commitment to education and historic preservation.
