This will be a black tie event. Film noir formalwear encouraged.
This fundraiser will support the creation of another transformative musical experience: The Werewolf, originally written by Louise Bertin in 1927, now fully reworked in score & script into a neo-classical, fiercely queer mystery opera. Look for the Halloween premiere of The Werewolf at The Rockwell in Davis Sq this October.
Our brilliant scenic designer, Helen McCarthy, will be bringing this story to life upon a slanted & askew set evoking the stark, painterly surrealist aesthetic of The Cabinet of Dr Calgari. She is a seasoned scenic artist, having worked on many major motion pictures including "Ghostbusters." The funds from this event will go directly to pre-production materials for scenery and costumes.
