Boundless Screening Gala 2017
of bones || hollye bynum will present The Boundless Screening Gala, taking place at the Mark Morris Dance Center on Sunday, July 30, 2017, and will be featuring 13 original dance films created by 13 teams of filmmakers over a 48 hour period, beginning on Friday, July 28, 2017.
The Boundless Screening Gala provides the community with an affordable, exciting, and educational way to view dance film. In its first year, Boundless hosted 12 teams, totaling 50 participants, and housed an audience of 150 viewers. This years panel of esteemed judges, Yara Travieso, Rena Butler, and Mary John Frank, will be screening the films, alongside the audience, and selecting this year's contest winner.
of bones || hollye bynum has put a spin on dance filmmaking and is challenging participants to produce an entirely original dance film in two days, with the second annual Boundless in Brooklyn: A 48 Hour Dance Film Contest. Teams will provide a cast, crew, camera, choreography, and score for their film. At the end of the 48 hours, all completed dance films are put to the ultimate test and screened in front of a live audience at the Boundless Screening Gala.
