Electables II - Dawn of the Republicans!
Everyone knows the Presidents that founded America, and we kind of know the Presidents we voted (or not) for but what about those guys in the middle? The Presidents between the Civil War and the Depression? The ones who had all the facial hair and looked like they just walked the streets of Washington carrying massive bags of money in their hands? If you want to figure out how those guys can be funny beyond their corruption and their beards, then your time has come!
DB Comedy Chicagos only theatre company dedicated solely to political satire and sketch comedy (as far as we know) proudly presents Sketch Comedy for People who Cant Afford Hamilton, with THE ELECTABLES II: DAWN OF THE REPUBLICANS.
THE ELECTABLES II features World Premiere Comedy written by our talented Writers of Wrongs, and performed by our crack Actors of Evil, as we start with Lincoln (so tall!) and end with Coolidge (so quiet!), with everyone in between (and there were a few).
As we always do, THE ELECTABLES II will feature a number of Causes Celebre worthy local nonprofits coming to raise awareness and money while laughing and tipping a few. Causes for THE ELECTABLES II include the Nuclear Energy Information Service (June 20), Pro Social Power (June 27), and the Safe School Alliance (July 18).
Join us for THE ELECTABLES II DAWN OF THE REPUBLICANS, where history is a little more tolerable than current events especially with access to booze!
